Adobe Creative Suite Upgrade Plan and Maintenance End of Life FAQ
Adobe no longer offers Upgrade
Plan and Maintenance & Support (M&S) for Adobe Creative Suite products. Moving
forward, you can still ensure access to the latest innovation, updates and
upgrades for your business with Adobe Creative Cloud. Adobe volume licensing
customers who wish to stay current on Adobe creative software can migrate to
Creative Cloud for teams sold through Value Incentive Plan (VIP), Adobe’s new
buying program.
In the meantime, here are answers
to some commonly asked questions:
1. Which Adobe upgrade programs have been discontinued?
Upgrade Plan in Transactional
Licensing Program (TLP) and Cumulative Licensing Program (CLP) and Maintenance
in Enterprise Agreement (EA) for all Creative Suite products have been
discontinued and are no longer available. Upgrade Plan and Maintenance remain
available for Acrobat.
2. Why is Adobe ending sales of Upgrade Plan and Maintenance for Creative Suite
products?
As Adobe transitions to a
cloud-based environment, all product and service innovation, updates and
upgrades will now be delivered via Creative Cloud. Creative Cloud is an ongoing
membership that provides access to all of the Adobe Creative Suite® desktop
applications, plus Adobe Muse™, Lightroom 4, Acrobat XI, Edge tools and services
and more. Creative Cloud memberships are available for individuals, teams and
enterprises.
3. What if I have active Upgrade Plan for Creative Suite products when new
versions of my covered products become available?
If you made an investment in
Upgrade Plan and you are still within your coverage period when new versions of
your covered products become available, you will receive access to that
software. Accordingly, communication will be sent to you at such time with
confirmation and instructions on how to access the software and other related
details.
4. What if I have a CLP or EA agreement that requires I make a second- or
third-year payment for Creative Suite Upgrade Plan or Maintenance & Support
(M&S)?
Because Adobe is no longer
offering Upgrade Plan or Maintenance for Creative Suite products, you are being
relieved of the requirement to pay for the second- or third-year payments.
Creative Cloud is now how we provide you with automatic updates and upgrades for
Adobe creative software. If you wish to have access to the latest Adobe creative
software, you should consider buying a Creative Cloud for teams membership,
which is the best way to stay up-to-date.
5. What is Creative Cloud for teams?
Creative Cloud
is an ongoing membership that gives your team access to all of the Adobe
Creative Suite® 6 desktop applications, plus Adobe Muse, Acrobat XI, Lightroom
4, Adobe Edge tools and services and more. Creative Cloud for teams makes
it easy for your team to collaborate, share files leveraging 100GB of cloud
storage and to explore services for publishing websites, iPad apps and more.
Creative Cloud for teams is purchased and managed centrally, making it easier
than ever to manage your software investment. Best of all, membership means that
your team members get access to new applications and feature updates as soon as
they are released, giving them the ability to stay ahead of the curve.
