The Microsoft TechNet CD or DVD subscription product delivers the most complete and current source of Microsoft technical information on evaluating, planning, deploying, managing, supporting Microsoft business products. A one-year subscription delivers up-to-date technical information every month including the complete Microsoft Knowledge Base and the latest Resource Kits, Service Packs, drivers and patches, deployment guides, white papers, evaluation guides, and much more. TechNet Plus

A single-user subscription is for individuals who need the technical content and resources just for themselves.

A single user license allows a single user to access all the content within a TechNet Standard subscription including the technical information library, Microsoft Knowledge Base, resource kits, training, downloads, utilities, service packs, security updates and the online concierge service.

A single user license allows a single user to access all the content and services within a TechNet Plus subscription including the technical information library, Microsoft Knowledge Base, resource kits, training, downloads, utilities, service packs, security updates, beta and evaluation software, technical support incidents, online concierge service, managed newsgroups and the TechNet Plus Subscriber Online Services Web site.

A single-server subscription is for workgroups who need to share the technical content with others in their organization.

A single server license allows the subscriber to load TechNet Standard technical information library CDs or DVDs onto a single server.  This license grants all users attached to that local area network access to the technical information library, Microsoft Knowledge Base, resource kits, training, downloads, utilities, service packs, and security updates.

IMPORTANT: Each single-server license entitles only the designated subscriber (media recipient) to access the TechNet Standard Subscriber Online Services Web site, including the online concierge service.

A single server license allows the subscriber to load TechNet Plus technical information library CDs or DVDs onto a single server.  This license grants all users attached to that local area network access to the technical library information, Microsoft Knowledge Base, resource kits, training, downloads, utilities, service packs, and security updates.

IMPORTANT: Each single server license entitles only the designated subscriber (media recipient) to use evaluation software, support incidents and access the TechNet Plus Subscriber Online Services Web site – no other users are entitled to use these resources.
