We think that Omni is a different sort of company and that it shows in both our products and our service. There are a bunch of things that make Omni a special place:
From our roots as a consulting company in the early ‘90s, the Omni Group has enjoyed sustained growth. Our early focus on the NeXT platform allowed us to transition to Mac OS X and iOS. We’ve enjoyed contributing to the success of those platforms and sharing in their phenomenal growth.
The Omni Group, like our software, is designed for the long haul. A quick growth, buy-out culture works for some, but doesn’t fit our philosophy of long-term support for our customers.
We try to keep the office fun. We treat each other with respect. We cultivate pride in our work. We put massive amounts of work into our products.
We’re privileged to be able to work each day with smart and talented people who are passionate about creating great software. All while treating customers with respect, making a living, and having fun.
OmniFocus 3 for Mac Available Now!
OmniFocus 3 for Mac is now available!
It’s a free download, you can try it out for 14 days, and decide to purchase the Standard or Pro edition.
This major update to OmniFocus for Mac — the trusted, gold-standard task manager, also available for iOS — is the result of two years of careful design, planning, and engineering, and we believe it’s easily the best OmniFocus ever.
This release brings a modern design that still manages to feel familiar — OmniFocus 2 users will feel right at home, while still being delighted by the fresh new user interface. It also brings new features and improves existing features.
We hope you love OmniFocus 3 for Mac as much as we’ve loved making it!
New features in OmniFocus 3 for Mac include tags, fancy repeating tasks, interleaved Forecast, and an updated — but still familiar! — design. The Pro edition also includes the Forecast tag and enhanced custom perspectives.
We’re super-excited for this release! OmniFocus started life as a Mac app, after all, and so many OmniFocus users are folks who get their work done on Macs. We love writing Mac apps, and we’re especially happy with how OmniFocus 3 turned out.
Tags add a powerful additional organizing tool. Create tags for people, energy levels, priorities, locations, and more.
The Forecast view shows your tasks and calendar events in order, so you can better see what’s coming up in your day.
Enhanced repeating tasks are easier than ever to set up — and they work with real-world examples such as the first weekday of the month.
The updated, modern design helps you focus on your projects and actions.
New in the Pro version:
The filtering rules in custom perspectives are simpler to use while being more powerful than ever, letting you combine rules with “all,” “any,” and “none.” You can also choose any image to use as your custom perspective’s icon, and a custom tint color to go with it. And, most importantly, custom perspectives support the new tags feature.
Today’s Forecast can include items with a specific tag, and you can reorder those tasks however you choose, so you can plan your day better.
