Skanix AS is a company founded on a Norwegian
Swedish development work. The cooperative work developed the security software
in a governmental project with the education authorities of Oslo, the Capital of
Norway. Skanix AS is now continuing this cooperative work in both international
sales and product development.
The company has premises at Hønefoss in Norway
where the administration and international sales are situated. The technical
development and software maintenance are located at Knivsta in Sweden. This

Skanix Maintenance
When you buy a Skanix product, you initially get one year of maintenance included. This maintenance can be extended, by paying a renewal fee each year. The maintenance includes the rights to get updates for the product initially licenses, and also to receive support for this. By having this maintenance active, the customer are ensured to be able to get the latest version at all time. We do not charge any upgrade fees. So when we went from XP->Vista->Win7, customer with maintenance got access to those new versions without paying anything extra than maintenance. Please have a look at the text below, describing this.
Price per license is found by taking the total number of license the customer will have of this exact product after the sale (adding existing and new licenses). A new license includes one year of free maintenance from date of purchase, that is access to software updates and support. For the customer to have future software updates available, a maintenance fee must be paid each year, and continuously paid from the initial license.
If a customer stops the maintenance at some point, and later asks for updates to software/restart the maintenance agreement, the customer must pay for the whole gap in maintenance since it was canceled, until it covers the date of request. The maximum price will be the cost for a new license, if that is lower price than adding up years without maintenance.
Maintenance is sold per full year, starting from the initial license order date + 1 year.
Skanix will only provide software updates, and handle support cases, for customers having a valid maintenance contract.
