Management Just Got Faster And Easier!
Introducing WinZip 10.0 Standard and
Professional (Beta)
We're very pleased to announce that WinZip 10.0 is ready for its
first public beta test, and we need your help. Our engineers have
been hard at work, developing new features that will help make your
job just a little bit easier. Did they hit the mark? You tell us –
we're listening.
Faster Data Transfer and Save More Disk
Space
By leveraging state-of-the-art compression methods (PPMd and bzip2),
WinZip 10.0 boasts more powerful compression that creates smaller
Zip files. Not only does this allow you to transfer data faster than
ever, it saves valuable disk space.
Improved File Management
10.0's new Explorer-style view makes it much easier to work with
complex, multi-folder hierarchies. This tree-structured view of your
Zip files allows you to drill down with a few simple clicks to
locate files quickly. What’s more, you can add files directly to new
or existing folders, and quickly extract files, simply by utilizing
our drag and drop feature.
WinZip 10.0 Pro's 'Job Wizard' Saves Time
By Automating Repetitive Tasks
In addition to the features discussed above, WinZip 10.0 Pro (a
special version with additional functionality) features the 'WinZip
Job Wizard', a completely new and powerful tool. The WinZip Job
Wizard allows you to create Zip "Jobs" that identify the "what,
where, when, and how" of virtually any repetitive zipping task. Once
you've created a job, you can run it simply by clicking an icon on
your desktop, or schedule it to run automatically.
WinZip 10.0 Pro also allows you to create Zip
files directly on CDs, eliminating the need to zip to your hard disk
and then transfer the Zip files to CD. Large Zip files will
automatically span multiple CDs, if necessary.
